MEDICINAL PLANT COURSE  

Herbal remedies and alternative therapies are the buzz of late. More and more people tend to shy away from chemically produced medicines. Medicines and cures from nature are moving into the foreground. Come join us in a very informative short course which will show you the basics on how to make traditional herbal remedies.

Friday

  • 5.00pm - 7.00pm: - Arrival, orientation, 
  • 7.00pm - 8.30pm: - Dinner
  • 8.30pm - 9.30pm: - Introductory lecture on alternative medicines.
  • 9.30pm onwards:  - Activity
Saturday

  • 8.00am  -  9.00am: - Breakfast(start 09:00 - 13:00)
  • 9.00am - 10.00am: - Common medicinal plants and their application in modern life.
  • 10.00am-11.00am: - Fieldwork - Collecting plants of the area with medicinal properties.
  • 11.00am-11.30am: - Tea/Coffee
  • 11.30am-12.00pm: - Different herbal products on the market.
  • 12.00pm - 1.30pm: - Preparation and manufacturing of:
    1. Infusions. 
    2. Salve/Cream
    3. Alcohol Tincture.
    4. Capsules.
    Traditional Remedies and their preparation: 
    1. Gout Mixture.
    2. High Blood Pressure drink.
    3. Winters Hand Cream and Foot balm.
  • 1.30pm - 2.30pm: - Lunch
  • 2.30pm - 3.30pm: - Introduction to fresh carrot and juice combinations. 
                                 - Preparation and tasting of the following different juices:
    1. Bladder problems
    2. Anemia
    3. Rheumatism.
  • 3.30pm - 4.30pm: - The Human and his emotions. Lecture and listening to music that catalyse different emotions.
  • 4.30pm - 6.30pm: - Bush/Game drive with sundowners, snacks and a glass of bubbly!
  • 6.30pm - 8.00pm: - Dinner
  • 8.00pm - onward: - Free time for discussion


Sunday 

  • 8.00am  -  9.00am - Breakfast
  • 9.00am  -  9.15am - Lecture on Electro-medicine.
  • 9.15am - 10.00am - Alternative Healing devices on the market and their usage. (45 min)
    1. T.E.N.S - machines
    2. C.E.S. machine
    3. Booster and electro-acupuncture device.
    4. Colloidal silver maker.
  • 10.00am - 10.15am - Lecture on Binaural brainwaves.
  • 10.15am - 10.30am - Practical:  Simulation of different wave patterns. 
  • 10.30am - 11.00am - Finalisation of the course / Questions & Answers.
  • 11.00am  -11.30am - Tea/Coffee
  • 11.30am - onward   - Departure
